Description: This is the 1:50 000 river data for Gauteng based on the previous version from DWS (Then DWAF), with gaps in river lines resolved through the use of satellite imagery, the use of wetland probability vector data from SANBI and updated river data from Local Authorities. The rivers were topologically cleaned and flow directions and stream order were calculated. In addition attributes such as Stream order, geozone, level of transformation, ecoregion and catchment are added to the river segments.
